Valentine's day

Once again the day has arrived. To some , its a huge huge deal. It means a lot of different things to different people. 

For the young and single ones, its a day of hope. Some wait for that special card to arrive. It may be from that guy they have been having their eye on for months. Does he even know if I exist? Today will be the day u get an answer. It may come from that guy who seems to be following you around the campus. The one whom u fear could be a stalker!!! LOL! Today will tell! 

For some, there is no particular guy u desire. Heck, as long as u get a card, its a moment to rejoice!!! Who cares, if it is from that nerd who sits behind u at work! A valentine card on that special day means someone cares. And hey, u don't have to tell anyone that the nerd is your admirer. Sigh and coo over the card like it has HUNK drizzled all over it!

For the young and in love, especially the new couples, this has got to the THE day for u. Its the BIG day. The girls expect a lot so the guys have to impress. A romantic dinner, an expensive gift and don't forget the roses. Want to make her heart pump even faster? Get chivalrous!! Works every time!!

For the older couples, married or otherwise, it's a special day too. But they know now that nothing beats the solid years of ups and downs, the break ups and the make ups, the 365 days a year of waking up with the same partner and going thru the day with kids and their problems, then going back to the same bed at night and saying good night to the same person who made u impatient just a few hours ago! The same feet to warm yours in the night, the same snores that are now a rhythmic lullaby and the same body that gets out of bed early in the mornings as quietly as they can so they don't wake u up.For these people, a kiss and a kind gesture is enough reminder that love is around not just for today...... but everyday.

We do not need one special day ticked off in a calendar to show our loved ones we care. Its the life long Valentine's "DAY" that matters.
