The New Year 2011

2010 came and went in a blink of an eye. And 2011 came with an array of mixed emotions.Some people have the belief that the first day of the year will be an indication of what lies ahead for the rest of the 364 days. I am not one of those. I refuse to be overly negative nor do I wish to be too optimistic.

Life is a roller-coaster ride and with it , comes all the ups and downs. And as if those aren't enough to make u dizzy, life has decided to add in loops and cork screw twists too. Can we ever complain about life being monotonous?!!! I wouldn't dare! 

I should know better. The New Year had barely settled in towards the end of the week and I have had my share of twists and turns. These little episodes came as a lesson and I should learn from it. 

We go through stumbling blocks and open our eyes a bit more wider as we continue on our journey. We walk with more caution, taking steadier steps with each foot we put forward. In the light we may speed up and maybe incorporate a lively spring to our strides. When darkness falls upon us, we stretch out our arms, we grope in fear but we still walk forwards. Our steps get smaller but we must never stop. For if we halt, we have lost the battle. To get out of the dark , we have to move ahead. We keep our eyes focused on what lies beyond the blackness. There will be light no matter how dark it may get. And you will come out stronger, ready to face the next challenge or obstacle.
